Drug Rehab Needed for Arkansas’ Methamphetamine Addiction Rise

Drug Rehab Needed for Arkansas’ Methamphetamine Addiction Rise

Law enforcement agents and government officials have been spending a lot of their time trying to handle the methamphetamine problem in Arkansas. News anchors, reporters and civilians alike have noticed the uprising of methamphetamine addiction. It is apparent to all residents of Arkansas just how big the need for drug rehab is in the state.

The United States DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) states, “In less than ten years, methamphetamine has grown from a problem limited to the Southwest and Pacific regions of the United States to Arkansas’ primary drug of concern.” With more than 28 kilograms of methamphetamine seized in 2008 and 240 meth lab incidents reported, Narconon is stepping up to help the residents of Arkansas find effective drug rehab.

Approximately 67,000 Arkansas citizens reported needing but not receiving treatment for illicit drug use. With roughly 3,000 individuals checking into drug rehab for methamphetamine addiction, it is easy for anyone to see that more need...

Studies have shown that incarceration and drug courts are not successful and the majority of offenders eventually return to a life of crime and drug abuse and addiction.  As of April 16, 2007, there were 44 drug courts operating or being planned in Arkansas.  Thirty-one drug courts had been operating for at least two years, ten drug courts had recently been implemented and three drug courts were being planned, according to the Office of Justice Programs Drug Court.  What is lacking in the state of A...

Outpatient Treatment in Arkansas

Outpatient Treatment in Arkansas

As methamphetamine addiction continues to rise in Arkansas will outpatient drug rehab really work?

Methamphetamine has become Arkansas’ primary drug of concern over the last ten years.  The state is encountering locally produced methamphetamine as well as the importation of methamphetamine produced in Mexico.  Not only does the state’s rural landscape provide an ideal setting for illicit manufacturing, but the wide availability of precursor chemicals also contributes to the ease of manufacturing methamphetamine.  Criminal groups in Arkansas are acquiring thousands of cases of pseudoephedrine via wholesalers and use sophisticated schemes to illegally ship, at a considerable profit, pseudoephedrine to methamphetamine manufacturers.  It is obvious that there is a huge methamphetamine problem in Arkansas and it is only getting worse.

Narconon is a successful and very effective drug rehab facility that deals with methamphetamine addiction and offers 24 hours a day care and life skills tools t...
